Formula: revenue = sessions × conversion rate × average price. The model changes ONLY the conversion rate — no extra traffic assumed. Improving the listing usually helps both (better click-through AND better conversion), so treat this as the conservative floor.

Conversion is the cheapest traffic you'll ever buy

Every session you already get was paid for — in ads, in ranking work, in time. Raising the conversion rate monetizes traffic you already own: no extra spend, and every future visitor arrives at the improved rate. That compounding is why a single percentage point is usually worth more than it looks, and why the calculator shows the annual figure next to the monthly one.

Use it before and after any listing change: pull last month’s sessions and unit session percentage from Business Reports, model the lift you’re aiming for, and you have the dollar figure that tells you whether the work (or the tool that does it for you) pays for itself.

Frequently asked questions

What is a good conversion rate on Amazon?

Commonly cited averages sit around 10–15%, but it varies enormously by category, price point and traffic mix — a $12 consumable and a $400 appliance live in different worlds. The more useful benchmark is your own trend: if sessions are stable and unit session percentage is drifting down, the listing (or price, or reviews) is losing the comparison against competitors.

Where do I find my sessions and conversion rate?

Seller Central → Business Reports → Detail Page Sales and Traffic (by Child ASIN). “Sessions” is your monthly visits; “Unit Session Percentage” is the conversion rate this calculator expects.

What actually moves conversion rate?

In rough order of leverage: main image and image stack, price vs the competing set, review count and rating, title clarity on mobile, bullets that answer the buyer's real objections, and A+ Content. That's why listing optimization is the usual first lever — it's the only one that doesn't cost margin (like price) or time (like reviews).

Does a higher conversion rate also help my ranking and ads?

Generally, yes on both. Organic rank favors listings that convert the clicks Amazon sends them, and in PPC a higher conversion rate directly lowers your cost per order at the same bids. This calculator deliberately models NONE of that — it holds traffic constant — so the number it shows is the conservative floor.

Is any of this data stored?

No. The math runs in your browser; your numbers never leave the page and there's no signup.
